Data we collect

We only collect the data you give us yourself:

• contact form: name, email address, phone (optional), subject and message;
• training registration: first name, last name, email address, phone and chosen training;
• newsletter: email address and language.

To protect the forms against automated submissions, we also record the IP address and browser type at the time of sending.

Simply browsing the website requires no personal data and no account.

• address book (training invitations): email address, name, organisation and phone that you gave us or that appear in our professional lists.

Invitation emails contain a small image and tracking links: they tell us whether the email was opened, whether a link was clicked and whether a registration followed. Every invitation contains a link to stop receiving them.

Why we use it

• replying to your messages and requests (your request);
• managing your training registration and keeping you informed about it (steps prior to your participation);
• sending you our newsletter (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time);
• protecting the website against abuse and bots (our legitimate interest).

Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising.

Who has access

Only the MedA Conseils team members handling your request have access to it.

Our technical providers (website hosting and email delivery) process it only on our behalf.

For a training held during a partner event, the organiser only receives the total number of registrations, never your details.

The address book is never sold, rented or shared.

How long we keep it

• messages received through the contact form: 3 years at most after our last exchange;
• IP address and browser recorded with a message: 30 days;
• messages identified as spam: 30 days;
• training registrations: 3 years at most after the end of the training;
• newsletter: until you unsubscribe, then the address is erased within 30 days;
• address book: until you ask to stop receiving our invitations; your address alone is then kept, so that we never write to you again;
• invitation tracking (opens, clicks): 2 years;
• technical data used to protect the forms: 1 day.

The website deletes this data automatically, every day.

Cookies

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and no cookie is needed to browse it.

The Contact page shows a Google Maps map: when you view it, Google may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.

Pause Café Média videos are hosted on our own server.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The management area is restricted to our team, protected by a password and by a code sent by email at each login. We limit access to the data to the people who need it.

Your rights

You may at any time ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, restrict its use or receive a copy of it.

To do so, write to us through the contact form or by post to our PO Box (03BP1336, Cotonou, Bénin). We reply within one month.

You may also contact Benin’s personal data protection authority (APDP) or, if you live in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country.
